When I plan a meal for my family to eat, some of the things I consider are: the cost of the meal itself, will the kids eat it, and the amount of time it will take me to prepare and cook before I hear the words “Auntie when is dinner going to be ready?” or “Auntie, I’m starving, HURRY UP!!”. Everyday millions of people struggle with the day-to-day task of what to serve their family. But does anyone actually wonder where the food comes from? When we take our first bite does the thought of global impact come across our minds?
