Case Study on Plastco Packaging:-

Problem with company compensation system and compensation practices are as follow as:-

* High turnover of employees in organization.

* Minimum levels of production.

* High level of waste.

* Employees are performing poor quality of work

* There is very poor interpersonal relationship among employees.

* Customer complaining about inconsistent quality product.

* Overall market for plastic begs has become more uncertain.

Analysing the root cause of the problem:-

In the organization there is high number among inspector and packer leaving the job and the ratio among utility workers about third as compared to the inspector or the packers, whereas operators quit job rarely. This problem exists due to different wages in organization like inspector/packer are getting 12 dollar per hour, utility workers are getting 18 dollar per hour and operator are getting double the inspector and packer.

It is clearly visible that there is minimum level of production because there is no co-ordination seen among the employees working in different department in the organization and because of poor job servicing of the machines by the mentianance department leading to minimum and unsatisfied levels of production.

In the above case there is poor interpersonal relationship among employees because it is very difficult to point out that who is performing and who is not. If there is a problem in machine and the product is not good, at that time inspector and packer do not report to the operators regarding the poor quality of bags and sometimes operators blaming and accusing inspector/packer as they are women so it leads to lack of discipline and poor interpersonal relationship among employee.

In this case there is lack of co-ordination, responsibilities and commitment among the employees towards the organization. This results in poor productivity and ends with customer...
