Reference to GOD in the Declaration of Independence

We have seen a huge increase in crime, drug use, teenage pregnancy, and above of all divorces in the past 50 years. We all see where the laws have changed when it comes to legality of sinful rights. It became legal for the mother of a child to murder her unborn baby in 1975. Sins of our nation rise more and more each day with more pornography, adultery, and homosexuality, which have become ways to express our GOD given sensual desires.

We have been blessed by GOD to live in such a beautiful country. America has great resources on this planet for helping those in need. We are feeding those who are starving, we free those who are captives, and we promote democracy, freedom and peace. We have sacrificed our own sons and daughters so that the world can know peace, prosperity, and happiness.

Congress inserted "under God" in the Pledge in 1956 and explained: "From the time of our earliest history, our peoples and our institutions have reflected the traditional concept that our nation was founded on a fundamental belief in God."

This year was the 220th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. During the periods of 1760 to 1805 the Bible was most often quoted, and George Washington spoke often of his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. There are 15,000 items, 2,000 words long and 34% of the quotes were from the Bible. 22% were enlightenments, and 16% enlightenments from outspoken Christians. Even those founding fathers that were not Christian, Jefferson, Franklin, and others, were greatly influenced by the Christian worldview. However, they did not believe in the God who they identified as the God of Christianity.
