Graduation

There are special events in a person’s life such as weddings or funerals that will bring happiness or sadness to one’s face whenever one reminisces. It wouldn’t be exaggerating to say that to most people Graduation day is as sacred as baptisms or wedding, as it should be for it is a rewarding day for surviving over a decade of training for real life. Even though it has been seven years since my high school graduation, I still haven’t solved my mixed feelings about that day.

It was the first Monday of June in 2001 and the sun was shining as if to congratulate the graduates upon our accomplishments. My two best friends and I had agreed to go and eat breakfast with fifteen or so of our classmates before going to rehearsals at twelve thirty pm. It was to be the last time we all gathered before graduating. My friends and I were to meet at my place at nine am so we could go tho ihop and have breakfast with the rest of the group. For some reason that I don’t recall my best friends decided to arrive to my house an hour late and with their graduation suite in their back packs. So ofcourse we took extra thirty minutes we didn’t have dressing and trying to locate my tousle . It was eleven am when we left the house. My best friends were receiving frantic calls from our friends waiting for us to arrive at the restaurant. It was in the middle of this chaos that I realized I had no clue as to were I was supposed to meet with the group. I had just moved to Springfield at the time and I so I didn’t directions very well.
