Managerial Accounting

It took me several tries for me to actually get a grasp of managerial accounting. I was always apprehensive when it came to any time of accounting or economics class. As a Construction Engineering major I never really had the mindset of studying anything financial. At first I thought the professor would be overly strict, bland, and dry like many other accounting professors I have encountered. To my surprise Professor Daily was a bit different. As a person who has his CPA and JD I was pleased to see how understanding and informative he was. The class structure is not 100% set in stone and everything could change just like events in real life. By keeping things TBD it keeps all of us on our toes and makes us pay attention since the due date could change at any time. Problems are thoroughly discussed in class and the professor does whatever is in his power to make sure the students understand the material being covered. A huge advantage to the class is when the professor makes all the students ask the student to his or her left and right to make sure they understand the material. By doing so the teacher helps the students get acquainted with one another which is an important thing when it comes to upper division learning. I’ve made several friends in the class whom have become very helpful when not understanding the material being presented.

The Professor is extremely understanding and will do whatever he can to make sure the student gets his or her work done. I had to leave to Seattle for several weeks due to work and was afraid I would miss way too many assignments and also the group project. Once again the professor did whatever he could to help me fit everything into my schedule and I ended up being able to finish the assignments while gone. The homework through connect is...
