Building a Customer Database

First and most importantly, the data that I will attain in the customers database are as follows: name, address, city, zip code, state, home telephone number, cell phone number, date of birth, and pin number for the DWT customer’s card. I would identify the data by barcodes recognition it is a quick and easy solution acknowledged by recognition software, this is why we see them using this system throughout the world in supermarkets, shops and retail stores. This will allow the data to be captured when you scan the membership into the system. Barcodes can very easily be introduced to membership forms. This is a systematic data capturing system that I will be implementing as a customer relationship management consultant.

Secondly, describe what DWT can do with this database and how it can be used to improve customer relationships and ultimately improve DWT's sales and profits? If we utilize this in particular database our business will see drastic improvements in customer service, revenues and margin in total. We can do so many different things with this database from tracking our loyalty customers to receiving important data needed for retrieving customer rewards information. Meanwhile, with this technique we can re-focus more on our top priorities; and this database simply manages all customers’ information in a secured manner. With this database it will allow us to interact more efficiently with our best consumers, it is also a beneficial program that allows them to receive rewards for simply shopping with us. Our customers will become more optimistic in the savings that they will attain from the loyalty card.

Investing time and emphasizing this rewards system to the fullest will enable our company to grow as a whole.
