The Empahasis on Hand Gun Safety for Women

The expression that comes to mind when it comes to safe gun use is “It’s better to have it and not need it, Then to need it and not have it”. The second amendment gives the right of citizens of the US to arm themselves. In today’s modern day world the CWP or the Concealed Weapons Permit can easily be obtained by law abiding men and women. Women especially are the primary target with small gun sales.

As with most manufacturers of fire arms the idea behind bigger is better has been the marketing strategy for the attraction of men. The day is upon these companies to rethink the strategy of the past and make it geared around the person that wants to protect themselves and especially around women because of their smaller stature. When most people are in the market of a handgun the salesperson behind the counter will sell them anything. The company known as Shoot straight has thought outside of the box and made the gun fit in the hand of the person within limitations, at the same time maximizing their abilities to capitalize on the market of women.

The price of a concealable weapon can vary from 300 to over 1000 dollars. This variable depends on the caliber of the weapon, brand name and the ability to accessorize. The most common sold hand gun is the .45 caliber followed closely by the 9mm. With the sales of these weapons the gun manufacturer had to rethink the size for the promotion of smaller hand guns for women and that of people with smaller hands. Beretta is a company that put their name above all else. The standard 9mm Beretta has a barrel of 6 inches with recoil of over 17 lbs psi. The average woman in America stands at 5’8 and weighs 140 lbs. With that said and pointed out Beretta went back to the drawing board and made a 9mm with a 4 ½ barrel with only 10 lbs psi and with a handle length of 5 inches. Along with the...
