Preface

The project plan is the information systems developing process through investigation the problems, develop a rich picture, create root

definition, conceptual model, rich picture, conceptual model, develop potential solutions, and make recommendations. In this report, it will use one of methodology – Soft System Methodology (SSM) in which summarized the management of tasks, identified the way to improve the communications with effective leadership and used coaching and mentoring in this project.

1. Overview

This report is explored in depth for project planning process. The project plan should be included scope, responsibility matrix, network diagram, schedule, and budget that are explored in this report. The object of this report is investigating and makes idea into real situation by using a Soft System Methodology (SSM) to build a project plan to the Kool Kutz (Hairdressing Industry), and proposed a blueprint to the management for developing the project. The project goal is to help the organization on improving daily operation, reporting, and communication between top management, staff and clients from the new system. The objective of the new system is to help for improving the following areas: ¾ Manage the external and internal administration activities (customer appointments, staff contract, payroll/bonus); ¾ maintenance accuracy client preference records; ¾ Create a systematic centralized system so as to simplify working procedures; ¾ Coordinate all departments to share same data; ¾ improve the communication to make ‘People Work Together’; ¾ generate reports to the top management. A project team will be organized to conduct the evelopment phase and providing any assistance to the users. While the system is being developed, a Conversion Plan (Parallel Run) will be applied.
