Frida Kahlo’s life was a very difficult. As a child she was struck with polio and then was crippled by a bus accident which left her unable to have kids. However, she beat all the odds by learning to walk again on her own and having the strength and courage to express herself and her emotions through art.

Pain and suffering were the basis of most of her paintings. Her paintings are filled with distinct images; adult Frida emerging from her mother’s womb (My birth), and a spinal column crumbling inside an open chest (The broken column). Kahlo’s self-portraits speak of the pain, both physical and emotional, she sustained in life, and her canvases provide graphic representations of the anguish. She once said” I never paint dreams, I paint my own reality” and that shows in 55 of the 143 paintings she created.

When she met Diego, she thought she may have finally found happiness and her love for him was expressed in many of her paintings such as the “Diego and I” where a picture of Diego was painted on her forehead. But that fairytale soon ended when Diego started to have extramarital affairs and she ended up doing the same.

The affair that caused her most pain was probably when he cheated with her sister. They divorced and re-married shortly after.

I hope my story can help you not just lose weight, but also stay healthy, and feel better about yourself. In the past, I've really struggled with my weight, and I know the awful feeling of being fat. But...
