MEXICAN

Mexican Americans have over 30 million people who live in the United States and with the second largest Mexican community in the world. Due to the bad to worse living conditions in Mexico Mexicans immigrants found new home in the neighboring country which is the United States. 7 million Mexicans with no legal documentation to be in the United States live among us.

Mexican American politics since the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo Mexican Americans have been called white because of legal citizenship onto the United States. Mexican Americans were being denied the rights of citizenship like the African American population. Anti-miscegenation laws in the 60’s were that a Mexican could not marry African American or an Asian American.

The majority of Mexican Americans speak a language called Chicano English which is affiliated with Mexican Spanish. Due to the improper speaking of Spanish and American accents the Mexican Americans created a language called Spanglish. Mexican Americans and language gives strong feelings toward the background they need to respond to many social situations with language differences that are in the Mexican American community.

Mexican American Economic Social Class – The Mexican Americans are the fastest growing population of people and one of the worst educated groups in the world. Many programs and policies were exercised to improved education among the Mexicans Amercians and other Hispanics in the United Stated communities. Mexicans Americans will socially hage situations in areas like illegal immigration issues, discrimination and stereotypes, social status, and assimilation, segregation issues, and overcrowding.
