Hypothesis
The Ritz Carlton hotel in St. Louis is a great destination place for business executives and their employees. There are many different departments that work hard to make every aspect of the guest experience a successful one. The department that I am involved in is Loss Prevention. The many different aspects of our job include but not limited to are: prevention of loss and or theft, guest relations, security for various events and V.I.P's such as musicians, actors, and politicians, investigations, keeping the peace, arresting those that don't observe behavioral conduct policies, bomb threats, evacuation of hotel in the event of fire, garage patrols, tornado drills, lateral service for all departments and general workplace safety. The hotel is evaluated by various agencies as well as guest surveys and in house patrols by our Loss Prevention Department. Workplace safety is a vital component for our employees and guest of the hotel. The following research was conducted on workplace safety.
A proposition is a type of statement about an observable phenomena that may be judged as false or true. A proposition is formulated for empirical testing (practical experiences), we call it hypothesis as a declarative statement about the relationship between two or more variables that is also of tentative and conjectural nature (Cooper & Schindler, 2011).
There are several types of Hypotheses they are descriptive, relational, correlation, and explanatory or casual hypotheses. For the purpose of this study we will be using a more explanatory or causal hypotheses.
