Business Case Study

New Belgium Brewery

First off this case was by far the most positive case of the year. There was not one thing negative said about this company, in fact NBB has won several awards for being one of the best small businesses in the world and voted “the best place to work” in past years. NBB’s early success and dedication to the environment have made its brewery’s some of the most environmentally friendly facilities in the world. There are no ethical issues involving foul play or disagreements. There are no divided loyalties, everyone within NBB enjoys it there and all 320 employees receive fantastic benefits including a trip to Belgium after 5 years of working and a bike after 1 year of working in honor of the “Fat Tire” beer as an act to save gasoline on the drive to work.

The decision makers are Jeff Lebesch and his wife along with other top management. The stakeholders include the employees, people in the community, all NBB consumers. If I had to pick a major conflict it would be that early on they kept thinking they could go green and even greener. They quickly resolved this conflict by doing everything they could think of to recycle everything possible and re-use any substances that come out of their breweries.

How can you not be satisfied with a company like this? They seem to be doing everything right. Working for a great cause and doing everything humanly possible to give back to the community. I’m completely satisfied with the results that NBB have produced, it’s actually quite inspiring and I cannot believe I havn’t heard of how greatly this company is being run before.
