Maria Esquivel is the name of a Hispanic woman who has the aura of Frida

Khalo and the heart of Mother Theresa. Her age is disclosed since a woman never reveals her age. You look at her now with her long brown hair, rose cheeks, and gleaming eyes. Its 6:10 AM and she is making tea for herself, making sure her husband is off to work with his coffee, by 7:10 AM she is making scrambled eggs for her eldest son and fried eggs for her youngest.

One could never count the sacrifices a mother has made for their children. At a certain point we all have rebelled against our mothers, I even ask myself what had my mother gone trough when she was a child with her parents. I never asked myself, but as she was slicing tomatoes I asked her. For the rest of the night, Maria Esquivel told me the scars and stains of her childhood. She was born on April 12, 19__ to Jose Esquivel and Antonia Cuautle the fourth child, the middle child between her 7 siblings. I asked her about her dreams as a child, just as I had mine and pursuing them at the moment I knew she had to have some as well. She told me that she always waned to be a teacher, Profesora Esquivel! I asked her what happened and she responded, "my father". As she was growing up and transitioning to the next grade, school fees would get more expensive unlike in America a child attending school is free but in Mexico, you have to pay for classes, teachers, textbooks all from Kindergarten to high school. Since she was a child of eight, her parents could not afford there children to go to school. Moreover, her father was against woman attending schools, he had the idea that every woman should stay home, cook meals, and raise children. But Maria insisted and she told her father, "But I want to become a teacher", her father just laughed and slapped her across her face.
