This books gives a look at Southeast Asia of today. Its traditions, means of trade, and its beliefs are made apparent. It also takes a look at its advances, transitions, and its development and democracy.

The authors tell how it is to grow up in Malaysia. She talks about how the country is governed and how that dictates your role in the society. It gives a look at the education provided for their children

This is a complete look at the culture in Malaysia.
