The Southeast Bank Ltd. is established as a scheduled bank under the Bank Companies Act-1991 and incorporated as a public Limited company on 12th March 1995 under the company’s act 1994. The bank achieved satisfactory progress in its commercial
banking operations effective from 25th Mav 1995. Southeast bank Ltd. Started operation with authorized capital of BDT. 500 million $ Paid up capital of BDT. 100 million.
Southeast Bank Ltd. is one of the growing second generation private sector scheduled banks in the country. The bank always marched ahead achieving positive and stable growths in entire areas of banking operations. During the short span of time the bank has been able to create an image for itself and has earned significant reputation in the country’s banking sector. The bank undertakes all types of banking transactions to support the development of trade and commerce in the country. To provide services in respect of international trade it has established wide correspondent banking relationship with local and foreign banks covering major trade and financial sector at home and abroad.
The southeast Bank’s success in short period in comparison with other second generation bank achieved due to the endeavor and dedication of a highly motivated and experience team of officers and strategies in market policy adopted by the bank management. Experienced research term of the bank is working to develop new strategies and products to cope with changing global economic scenario and domestic demand.
