For A/E Design Services

Title II Services: The A/E Contractor shall also provide construction phase

services. See paragraph 3.13 for required services.

Title I Services: The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) requests the

procurement of A/E services for classroom renovations. The renovation will

remove a portion of the library and install 1 or 2 classrooms totaling

approximately 2600 sq. ft. The location of the existing library and new

classrooms is in the East end of the basement of the OTS headquarters

building. The A/E Contractor shall complete all design work, drawings,

calculations, specifications, and cost estimate required to prepare the site in

accordance with the guidelines established by this Statement of Work. The

A/E Contractor shall design a complete facility including furnishing layout,

such that it will be fully habitable and ready for occupation once construction

and furniture is selected.

Background: The existing area was originally designed as a library and at a

later time was reduced to include a small conference room and a training

room. The existing training room had a small secondary HVAC unit installed

to offset the heat load of the computers and additional personnel.

Applicable Documents: The Contractor shall comply with the current

edition of all applicable practices, codes, methods and standards as prepared

by technical societies and associations. In the event of conflict between

codes and standards of the organizations, the more stringent regulations

shall govern. The A/E Contractor shall state applicable requirements of the

standards or codes in the specifications, in addition to their general

reference. These organizations shall include but may not be limited to:
