Focus Topic 1 Issues Related to Creating the HR System
Human Resource Management is an important part of an organizations performance level and production. It also helps to ensure satisfied and happy employees. As a leader of a company implementing the functions of HR are important on a daily basis. Certain tools and a leader’s skill set help leaders focus on their own performance and the skill set of their employees. Having an overall effective human resource plan or system helps keep valuable employees, define overall business goals and help leaders and employees. Studies have shown that it cost over 50% or an organizations income to retain employees. A robust human resource system helps organizations achieve goals, increase employee morale, save money in the long run, and adapt to change. Human resources professionals are skilled and familiar with the organization and what they are looking and the different measures they should consider when creating an HR system. Creating a great HR system demands great skills and abilities of HR professionals. Human Resource Professionals must be able to identify with the organizations and know how they operate. Understanding that they need new employees is not sufficient enough in today’s competitive job market. Human resources professionals of an organization should focus on developing a system that will help bring in the candidates that organizations need to attain certain goals of the company. Human resource professionals should design their policies and practices so that produce the employee competencies and behaviors the company needs to achieve its strategic goals (Rao 2009). Leaders have to be followers to the organization’s purpose and performance goals and sometimes demand it in today’s modern workplace.
