At face value i believe that Sikh’s should fight for their religion according to the situation that they are under and some people believe in this but there are others also who think differently. For example a reason why Sikhs shouldn’t fight for their religion is that they believe that caring for someone else is one of their duties ( Vand Chhakna) which is in direct contradiction to the fact that they should fight for their religion. This therefore means that if you contradict this then you are disobeying the core of your religious beliefs and therefore you are not becoming a “better Sikh”. However in Sikhism another belief is that all the Sikhs are equal and therefore contradicting your beliefs doesn’t make you off a worser Sikh and therefore not caring for another would in essence make you as good as a Sikh as an average person.

However contradicting this therefore means that you would be contradicting the way of the Guru and therefore the fact that someone should fight for their religion is a juxtaposition to the teachings of Guru Nanak, where he went on his four journeys in the seek of the understanding of beliefs and not to convert people by force, and therefore believe that his religion is far superior.
