Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and the president of United Arab Emirates and former crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. He is the son of the late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of UAE. During his early years “Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed was undoubtedly a full partner in the leadership of his country in its foundation stages, in that he actively shared in the execution of his late father's plans and in the fulfillment of his vision under his direct supervision and direction” (Sheikh khalifa bin zayed, president of the uae, n.d.). Under his direction, and in accordance with the instructions of His highness Sheikh Zayed, the executive council went through the implementation of a wide-ranging development program in Abu Dhabi, including the construction of housing, water supplies and other essential services. Also, there was an improvement in roads and the infrastructure of the city of Abu Dhabi, which has now been established as the modern city that is it today (Davidson, 2009).

“A vision is more than a dream- is it an ambitious view of the future that everyone involved can believe in, one that can realistically be achieved, yet one that offers a future that is better in important ways than what now exists” ( Daft, 2008). A vision can be seen as an aim that connects the present to the future. It provides a pathway on which everyone involved can walk on, in order to achieve their shared goal. It also provides an organization with a motive to be worked towards. It creates interest and also makes people committed towards their work, which in return makes people loyal and dedicated to accomplish a purpose that is worthwhile.
