EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We, the representatives of the employee’s of Cadbury Confectionery Sdn. Bhd would like to propose for a game room located at the existing storage in Cadbury Company on the 3rd floor that filled with old and junk office equipment.

We would like to propose for a game room as the management of Cadbury is experiencing socializing problems. The first problem is that the company does not have any recreational facilities.

The objectives of the project are to allow the employees to release stress and to strengthen the bond between the workers in Cadbury. Besides that, the objectives are to improve the quality of work and to lower the administration cost.

The significance of the project is to benefit from higher productivity and profitability, to motivate employees, to reduce stress and allow employees to work efficiently, and to foster greater innovation, creativity and risk taking.

The basic procedures taken to prepare this proposal was select a pro tem committee, calling for a meeting, working out the budget for the project, determining the source of fund to run the project and drafting the regulations.

The total cost is approximately RM whereby initial payment is RM 77,250 and monthly expenses are RM 554.

The pre period for the renovation is three months, the duration for the renovation is expected to be one month and the post period is one month. The game room would be open daily during office hours from 8am to 10pm and will be closed on weekend.

The limitations of this proposal are that not all workers would want to use the facilities provided, vandalism, staff makes ill use of the game room, and difficulty in getting the proposal approved.
