Abraham Lincoln our 16th President

Our 16th president of the United States of America was born Abraham Lincoln. Abraham Lincoln was born February 12, 1809 in a log cabin that was located in Kentucky. He would be the 2nd child born to Thomas and Nancy Lincoln. He was one of three children. His family wasn’t from the rich side of town. His father earned a living by farming. Lincoln sister name was Sarah and he had a brother that died while still an infant. Abraham Lincoln had very little education but it didn’t stop him because he still read books such as Pilgrims progress and the Bible. Abraham was a great wrestler, very strong, and experienced with an axe.

When Lincoln was 7 years old his family moved to Indiana. In 1818 after only two years of living there his mother would pass away from a milk sickness. In 1819 Lincoln father Thomas would marry a widow by the name of Sarah Johnson. She would take care of Lincoln and in turn they would in grow very close, but he would become distant with his father. When Lincoln father Thomas remarried Sarah she had three children of her own named Elizabeth, John, and Matilda.
