A psychologist is planning to conduct a study that would examine pathological liars and the quality of their romantic relationships. You have been asked to provide the psychologist with a recommendation for which research method should be used to gather data on the pathological liars and their spouses.

I think that the best recommendation on to which research method a psychologist could use in this instance is the multi-method research. Not only could a psychologist use the case study method, but they could also use the correlation and experimental methods in order to gather data on pathological liars and their spouses.

I say the case study method because I think it would be effect to make a hypothesis when trying to do some research on this subject.

With the correlation research method, this would allow a researcher to evaluate the subject better, and they would be able to make a prediction of behavior in the future.

With the experimental research method, I think this would be effective in many ways including offering the researcher to draw conclusions about cause and effect relationships. With these three options the researcher should be able to conduct a good evaluation to pathological liars, and their spouses allowing the researcher to better understand what makes a person become a pathological liar, and the effects it could have on the relationships that the pathological liar has.
