Nearly 2% of people worldwide have obsessive compulsive disorder, OCD. This disease is debilitating and disrupts daily life and activities for those that suffer from it. OCD is divided into two categories: obsessions and rituals. Obsessions are unwanted thoughts and fears. Examples are fear of germs, objects being out of balance, and personal safety. Rituals includes moving objects to make them appear balanced, frequent hand washing to dispel germs, and checking door locks several times to ensure a safe environment.
