1. Using the critical thinking skills you have gained and the materials provided for this assignment, identify two possible strategies that Thomas Hutchinson or Samuel Adams, or both, likely used to develop and improve his thinking prior to taking a stand and acting according to his beliefs. I think that both Thomas Hutchinson and Samuel Adams constructed the pros and cons as well as visualized the solution to their problem. They listed all the convincing arguments that may have advanced on either side of their issues. Once they had the problem and the solution in hand they used relevant scenarios and other info to achieve the solution. Weighing the pros and cons of each problem and effective solution helped with weeding out the bad ideas and solving the problem. These two critical thinking skills may have been of great help during the time of the Boston Tea Party.

2. Explain the importance of building a foundation for critical and creative thinking when evaluating historical events such as the Boston Tea Party. It is important to build a foundation for critical and creative thinking because it’s impossible to know when a situation such as the Boston Tea Party or something similar will occur. Times have changed dramatically over the years or centuries rather but it’s nothing but a vicious cycle, so we must prepare I minds and thinking critically and creative like those before us. By thinking critically this will allow us to think outside the box and come up with new ideas, with all the resources that we have today one could only wonder how the Boston Tea Party would be handled in this day and age.

3. Explain the basis of the moral judgments made by Samuel Adams and Thomas Hutchinson. Samuel Adams thought that the things occurring in his society were wrong.
