In my rationale I am going to explain what happened leading up to my moment and then the impacts it had on me. I chose the key items that played a large after from other moments leading up my moment, before and after, following a time line.

On September, 6th I had received a phone call from my boyfriend at the time; he said things like ask your friend how her night was. I didn’t know what to think. Prior to Sept. 6th I had introduce my friend and him at star bucks when I we ran into her. I left camping the Friday they were introduced and the following week when I got back and school had started he had told me that they went to the bar the night I left and spent all night together and a lot had happened between them. I was disgusted with her, that she would do this, to me, especially with a boy she barely knew. The boyfriend was not a big deal but I trusted her.

That day I received a suspension notice from the school, I have chosen this form for one of my text because this was my biggest mistake that started it all. I was furious and approached her in school. Big mistake, she is a fighter with a short temper and much bigger than myself. She knew she did something wrong because the moment I called her name she started defending herself. Outside in front of the school there was a lot of yelling that turned into a physical confrontation. She through her arms at me and I defended myself. She got hurt bad, because I hit her first because of what I though was going to be physical was only a threat.

About two weeks later I got a phone call while I was camping with my family. I chose a cell phone was another one of my text because on the phone was a probation officer. He said “Is this Kayla Tyson?” and I said “yes”. He told me his name and the reason he was calling and my heart dropped.
