Organizational Mission
Dignitas provides services and programming to individuals who have traumatic brain injuries or spinal cord injuries from automobile accidents. The company has six residential facilities; five of the locations are group home style facilities with six residents in each. The group home facilities require 24-hour staffing for the consumers. The sixth location is the Semi-Independent Program with 22 consumers living in apartments. The staffing hours for the semi-independent patients vary from one hour to 18 hours, and the variations in consumer hours is a written recommendation of his or her doctor.
Dignitas has an organizational mission that provides a comprehensive guide to how the company welcomes their employees. The company holds true to the values and beliefs of treating each employee, patient, and his or her family members with dignity and respect. In the pursuit of excellence, the organization wants to involve employees in problem-solving as well as the creativity processes from the administrative team. Digintas requires each employee to hold an important role in providing quality patient care, while responsible for their assignments for the day. The company wants to keep an open door policy with employees. If questions or concerns arise he or she can contact the administrative team by e-mail, phone call or stopping by the office to express problems or issues.
The mission at Dignitas is to provide every patient quality care and customer satisfaction. The organization will accomplish this with the use of new technologies and employee continuing education classes. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Dignitas has appointed a Personnel Compliance Committee, who is responsible for reviewing updating rules, and employment subject changes go in the employee handbook. The company will ensure the changes stay current and remain in compliance with state and federal laws.
