Effective Communication Paper

Effective communication is a process of transferring information to an individual or group of individuals by means of verbal and non-verbal communication and listening skills. Communication is important because it allows information to be transferred from one person to another by his or her thoughts and opinions. The individual on the receiving end of the communication process must be able to grasp the information clearly from sender. The reader will be informed of the most effective and ineffective ways for sharing information and ideas; techniques that can be applied or modified in studying the roles of the criminal justice organizations model and understanding their importance. You learn communication techniques that apply in formal and informal channels of criminal justice organizations, and to each role from initial contact, to judgment and sentencing, to probationary supervision and appeal. In every criminal justice organization aspect coworkers should learn to work productively together so that the outcome will be efficient and effectively.

An ineffective way of communication is when coworkers disapprove of any thoughts of a group member and is against working as a team player. Managers need to lay good ground in the areas of expected behavior, task responsibilities, and communication procedures (Wallace h. and Roberson, c (2009). Coworkers and team members have to start with baby steps in order to have good communication skills. To decrease any conflicts between coworkers or team members every person should learn how to regulate his or her way of working as a team and to be able to control any conflicts that might occur. Ineffective communication will decrease productive meetings and the outcome will not be successful. Meetings are held to establish a unity among staff members.
