Race was invented in the 1500’s however around 1800 Europeans scientists classified race under three types. Caucasian, Negroid, and Mongoloid are the three classifications. Throughout most of the U.S. history Caucasians are the majority race in most locations. Caucasians, meaning European and Western Asian descent. Non-Hispanic European descent made up 65.1% of the population. Under the Non-Hispanic Europeans are many different backgrounds that make up the population.
