When we hear of heredity it is our foundation of our building with everything intact, but it is not complete with structure. While our hormones are what makes up everything else in our bodies. The hormones are the biggest part of the our building, realization, and our actualization of our lives. I will be discussing the how heredity and hormones are the same, but yet they are different as well.

When concerning heredity this is what dictates the range of our hormone levels that we use in our daily lives. however, our hormones are what dictate change in our bodies. For instance: our moods, when we go through puberty, depression, and anxiety. All these changes are linked to our hormones. Even our diet and exercise can influence our hormones. Even though our heredity is set, but our hormones can change on a day-to-day basis.

Our hormones are produced through what is known as the Endocrine System. In this system the endocrine glands is what releases the hormones in our body. Once these hormones are released they travel to the pituitary gland. The pituitary is the gland that produces the majority of our different types of hormones. This gland is on the underside of our brain, and it’s main function is to regulate the other endocrine glands. The next stop in the endocrine system is the pineal gland. This gland is located in the middle our brain. The main function is this helps regulate when we wake up and our sleep cycles. Now we move on to the thyroid gland. This gland is just below the larynx. The thyroid is what regulates our metabolism and how alert we are. Located in the thyroid gland is the parathyroid. These glands are implanted in the thyroid gland. There function is to control and balance our level of calcium that is released. From the parathyroid we move to the pancreas. This is between our stomach and the small intestines.
