Changing Roles of HR Management

HR Trends are changing because of globalization and the requirements that are needed throughout the organization because lower skilled jobs are no longer a requirement because of upgraded technology. Globally the population is quickly diversifying, which culture and ethics become important factors of everyday business transactions even more with organizations switching over to e-business.

Globalization

Globalization is defined as the “integration of business activities across geographical and organizational boundaries that also treat the world as on market with cultural diverse merchants” (Bhagria, 2010) Globalization has changed the role of the HR management in trends because as the world changes the needs of the people change, which led to potential less personnel working, and increased computer jobs, outsourcing, and in-sourcing will transpire. Multiple factors are involved in globalization they are the current market, cost, competitiveness, and the government if one of these four factors is altered it can either have appositive or negative effect depending on how the factor was altered. If the one of the four factors were altered negatively then the outcome can send the other three factors into a spiral downspin of effects. Recent events show that globalization subsists when the recession of 2008 emerged, which led to global expansion and financial burdens to regain solidity (Farndale, Paauwe, Morris, Stahl, Stiles, P., Trevor, & Wright, 2010). Henceforth when new coalitions are made during business transactions the roles and skills of the HR department must remain adaptable, and educated in multiple cultures and languages to promote miscellany with a robust consumer base.

Technology has changed the role of HR management because people have become available anytime and anywhere within seconds...
