What are some examples of ways in which observational learning has benefited you in your life? Are there instances in which observational learning has worked to your disadvantage?

I have helped teach Warriors Leader Course to lower enlisted soldier’s observation learning has been beneficial to me because I never taught in front of a class and no teaching skills. I usually just answer questions or be a helper. Sometimes our NCO’s can’t make it to class so it falls upon use to teach. I can handle classes now without help, but cannot teach every day. This is a disadvantage because my mental drive is not toward teaching every day.

As an eyewitness to a crime, how could you use information in this chapter to improve your memory for specific details? If you were a juror, what would you say to the other jurors about the reliability of eyewitness testimony?

I would remember whaat happened, play it out in my head rehearse it in my head and try to list out visual aids, just if I can remember the person face or voice and how he/she looks. I have been in a seat of a jury. I would review what I have before making a decision as far as evidence. Also eye witnesses cant always be counted on and is not always correct to put a innocent person away.

During problem solving, do you use primarily algorithms or heuristics? What are the advantages of each?

It actually depends on the problem. If it’s a math problem, I primarily use algorithms. I would use heuristics when I already know the answer.

The advantages of each are: Algorithms are a series of steps to get to the solution.

Heuristics is used so the individual can get to a solution rapidly.
