About the interviewed person

The food industry is always looking for new innovations, ways to improve and providing excellent customer service. We choose the food society restaurant, it is a five star fine dining european cuising located in darlinghurst, sydney. Learning management it is taught how important it is to cooperate and make use of the resources we have so we decided to interview my collegues husband and that is why we were keen on taking this chance to learn further about the food industry and the management side of the industry. Ive known my collegue for quite a while now and have always know he was the manager of the restaurant so i used this opportunity and asked my collegue if it would be possible to set up an interview. The interview took place on january 26th, 2012 in darlinghurst, sydney. Me and my collegue decided to have a late dinner, so we could wait till the restaurant closes and do the interview as my collegue’s husband was at work until close. His name is Ashok Dhakal, a chef from Nepal and he is the manager of the food society restaurant. Having dinner at food society gave me the chance to analyse closely the food, service, communication in the workplace and at the end had a brief tour of the restaurant. the restaurant has a variety of european cuisine and serves wine and spirits. Its price range leans more towards the expensive side ranging from $18 to $40. At midnight on the 26th January 2012, after me and my collegue had our meal, her husband Ashok gave us a tour of the restaurant, introducing us to the head chefs and staff to give a better insight on the communication and working environment at their restaurant. After that me and my collegue sat down and i asked Ashok the required questions for this assignment.
