Deciding to return to school was a long and hard decision that I had to make. When I became pregnant in early 2011 and lost my job due to being pregnant I knew that it was time for me to return to school. I really needed to prove to myself that I could succeed at school, and wanted to show my family that I could succeed in obtaining my degree. Deciding to return to school was a stressful decision for me. If I can find the time to obtain my degree as a new mother than I see no reason that anyone else should not be able to do the same.

I became pregnant in early 2011 after which I lost my job due to my pregnancy. Having the time off sitting at home allowed me to realize I should go back to school. Knowing I was going to have a child to provide for, I knew a degree would allow me to better provide for my baby and my family. After considering several fields of study I felt that an Associate in Business Administration would open up better opportunities for me. It is more about time management than it is about making time, no need to rush and panic. If you have a plan it seems to flow smoother. I don’t think anything has given me more confidence than actually working towards my degree. It also allowed me to kill two birds with one stone; I proved to myself and those around me that I could be a mom and a student. By me returning to school I have showed a few family members that you can return to school and get a degree no matter what your circumstances are.
