Wal-Mart’s values derive from the company’s mission that is People Saving Money, Living a Better Life. In order for Wal-Mart to fulfill its mission, the company has developed principles and rules. A few of those policies are the Wal-Mart cheer everyone receives when he or she enters the door of Wal-Mart. The open door policies that mean managers doors are always open. The three basic beliefs and values: that is respect for the individual, service to all customers, and striving for excellence. Personal values are standards a person may set for his or herself to live his or her life by. Personal values consist of many things including ethical, moral, or religious. Personal values are supposed to make a person feel good about his or her conduct. Workplace values are important because it ensures a company remains profitable and runs smoothly. Many companies have yearly training classes to make sure the employees do not forget the values of the company.
Personal Values
My personal values began when I was a baby. My parents and grandparents raised me with values he and she were taught as kids. Christianity is a value my family strongly believes in, without God in your life you cannot make it. I try to pass my values to my kids so they will become adults with great ethical values. Everyone knows right from wrong and makes his or her own decisions in life.
Workplace Values
Workplace values begin with personal values. Each employee should treat other people the way he or she would like to be treated. Everyone deserves respect and should be honest and fair.
