Taser

A Taser is a type of stun gun; it is a hand – hold electroshock weapon that delivers a jolt of electricity through a part of wires propelled by compressed air from up to 10.6 metres away.

It can use an electrical current to disrupt voluntary control of muscle to incapacitate an attacker without killing him. It can, giving the user time to flee the area or call 000. Because more than 40 countries allow police to use Taser guns to apprehend criminal suspects. In my opinion, I think police shouldn’t allowed to use Taser gun to apprehend criminal suspects.

Taser gun are self – defence devices that are often carried by police and security officers and military personal. Some States also allow regular citizens to legally carry Tasers or mini-Tasers.

An American report says, despite of American have died from Taser blasts. Basis of the research, from these hundreds of people who have died following police use Taser, dozens and possibly score of deaths can be traced that was unarmed.

One of the case concern a victim who was shot by Tasers, he was intoxicated when police arrived and although he repeatedly told’ I give up’ they acted by firing several blasts into the man, so, Is the police using the Tasers misappropriate? Or it is just a mistake? let’s have a look.

Another case from Australia in, the daily Telegraph is a man died after being capsicum sprayed and repeatedly tasered by six police officer on one of Sydney’s Busiest streets. That man lost his life over stolen a packet of biscuits. The city convenience store manager said, ‘that guy went inside the shop just asking for help, he just wanted to get away from someone, he did not want any money, he wanted to get away from someone, he did not want any money, he wanted protection, than took a packet of biscuits on the way out.’ And the police said they could not comment on this news!

Anyway, Taser has another disadvantages, it is a one shot weapon. After it’s used, the wiring needs to be repacked and the air...
