WHO IS JESUS CHRIST

Having born and raised as Christians, we take for granted our conviction that Jesus is the Son of God.

The Uniqueness of Jesus

- not to put on the same level (known teachers such as Socrates, Confucius, Lao-Tze & many others)

many men claimed that they came from God, they were God, they bore messages from God and even to this day founded a new religion.

Absolutely unique figure in human history.

*He was preannounced and His coming is expected. He was the Messiah they’re all been waiting

*He struck history , dividing it into two periods: BC and AD

*Every person came into this world to live but Jesus came into the world to die, his goal and fulfillment.

Details about His Life

*Jesus was a young carpenter in Nazareth. For 3 years He became a wandering preacher. Within 3 years of preaching, he was dead, killed in little Jerusalem, a suburb of Roman empire.

*He is surely the most famous, honored and best-loved person ever walked the earth.

What was He like?

-a very attractive personality. Mk 9:15

-strong in mind and body. He was able to fast for 40 days.

-down to earth, courageous

-a magnetic leader. Summoned Simon, Andre, James and John who all followed immediately

-a man of extraordinary authority (healed disabled and the sick, gave orders to nature (dagat)

-not confused or unsure of Himself or His mission ( mt 16:21-23)

-very human (He showed tenderness, anger and grief (mk 3:5, love (10:21), compassion (mk1:41) sadness (mk 14:34)

Jesus claim to be God.

-Is Jesus worthy to be the center of my life? YES! Becasuse HE IS GOD!

How do we know He is God?

-by His miracles? Maraming milagro and not be God.. So how do we know? Simple lang.. Because Jesus Himself told us so.
