3. Research Method

3.1. Sample – about its composition and the way how we collect data

We did a research to figure out how much teamwork affect to the result by doing a survey. We made a survey paper and do the survey to our friends who are participating in a team project or club activity. The survey paper was on basis of ‘Belbin’s Team Role theory’. We found a survey paper which called ‘Belbin’s Self Perception Inventory’ in a book. We translate it in to Korean and modify it a little to suit the survey to our situation. The survey has 7 sections and the surveyee must distribute a total of ten points among the sentences which he thinks more accurately describe his behavior.

Section 1 : 나는 다음과 같은 측면에서 팀에 공헌하고 있다.

a. 나는 새로운 기회를 쉽게 포착하고 활용한다

b. 나는 다방면의 사람과 잘 어울려 일할 수 있다.

c. 아이디어를 잘 내는 것이 나의 장점이다.

d. 나는 사람들의 잠재가치를 잘 인지하고 이끌어낸다.

e. 나의 이해력은 내 개인 역량과 관련이 있다.

f. 나는 좋은 결과가 나온다면, 일시적으로 비난을 받을 준비가 되어있다.

g. 나는 어떤 일을 가장 잘 할 수 있을지 빠르게 파악한다.

h. 나는 어떤 편견 없이 합리적인 대체 방안을 제안할 수 있다.

Each sentences represent different types of team role. To determine one’s team role, add up the points in each column to give a total team role distribution score. The letters across the top correspond to Belbin’s team roles
