Problem Solution: Gene One
Growth is a primary goal of nearly all domestic and international businesses; however, in order for a company to grow, capital is needed to fund increased product development, and marketing of a company’s product or service. Gene One is a young, developing, energetic biotechnology company aiming to continue successful growth at a modest annual rate of 40%, but to realize the company’s target growth; financial capital is needed to make this goal a reality. In order to meet the company’s growth goal, alternative solutions of organizations in similar growth situations will be identified as considerable options for Gene One as the company strives to meet identified goals. Before outlining funding solutions for Gene One, company issues and opportunities as well as the varying stakeholder groups must be acknowledged and identified so that the best possible alternatives can be acknowledged and the optimal solution chosen based upon the company’s present and desired future state. Discussion will begin with identifying Gene One’s current company issues and the existence of any company or market strategic opportunities available to rectify encumbering company flaws that may delay the company from achieving its stated goals.

Upon thorough analysis of Gene One’s company history and progress, there were several existing issues and opportunities that could be resolved and utilized to assist the company in meeting its recently stated targeted growth rate.
