There are many approaches to securing your organization and the network that runs your business. First of all, you want to maintain security in your building, its perimeter needs to be secured. Gating and lock systems are the primary methods for establishing a secure building. Buildings have multiple entries so basically IT professionals have to take the viewpoint of an attacker when arranging a site for physical vulnerabilities, starting with the ports of entry similar to the software of a computer.

There are many ways to manage a controlled and safe environment. Protecting the network is a twenty–four a day job. Keeping the physical aspects of a network safe ranges from fire protection and perimeter protection to humidity and temperature controls. The server room is the most important room in a building concerning the life of an organization. If the server room is penetrated by an attacker than many attacks can be manipulated within this secure room because the vulnerabilities are unlimited. The term information security describes the tasks of guarding digital information, which is typically processed by a computer. The most important goal for any organization is to hide all data and personal information that will otherwise collapse the network. If you start with the OSI model and work your way up the seven steps to setting up a network then each step will secure the network more than the previous step. Companies need to educate their employees and ensure the user community is aware of the security impacts on the company. The first step in educating users is to make them aware of social engineering. People should not always trust the next person regardless of their position. Protect your area and make sure no unwanted visitors are in your work area without permission. Employees are the key to keep the infrastructure safe and secure.
