Good Evening everyone,

I cannot explain how lucky I am to be here tonight. I am greatly proud to be appointed as your new Senior Vice President of Operations. I am extremely thankful that the correct decision has been made. As your new Senior VP of Operations I will assure to provide overall guidance and direction to all operational activities of this organization with my main goal being to maximize profitability and growth. Not to mention the daily functions of operational functions and daily leadership.

Operations is a critical factor in any business. What does operations management mean to me? “Operations management focuses on carefully managing the process to produce and distribute products and services (Free Management Library, n.d.). The operations capacity consists of an important amount of the employees and physical assets in most organizations. Although I am flattered to receive the title as Senior Vice President of Operations, I would like for you all to know that this will not be the easiest task. However, I will give it my all the make certain that this organization possesses the benefits of successful operations.

Successful business operations is a definite advantage in business today. Simply because successful operations can easily be transformed into what is called “unsuccessful operations”. Unsuccessful operations can result in low employee morale which will eventually lead to a decrease in productivity. Legal risks can come into play as well when business operations are not ran correctly.

At this time, I would like to go over five organization specific initiatives to reduce the legal risks associated with employment practices. The first legal risk I would like to discuss is employee discrimination against race and national origin which is under Title VII of the Civil Righs act of 1964. "This civil rights act prohibits...
