Steroids in Boxing

Introduction

  In a battle will a boxer win or will steroids win? Not only do steroids make you huge but also they can and will also hurt your body. Steroids is used to get big in a short amount of time but what people don’t realize is that it also has a long term affect. Steroids can damage your liver and can cause cholesterol problems.

       Boxing is a sport that many Americans love to watch. It involves two people battling it out until one is knocked out or declared the winner. Boxing takes a lot of practice and you have to be good at it. With boxing you are required to know how to fight, keep up and have outstanding stamina and of course be tough. Now steroids can be used orally or through and injection. It gives off rushes of power that makes you feel supernatural. Steroids are very powerful and yes steroids are considered a type of drug due to the affect it gives off on a person’s body just like other drugs it makes you feel invincible. Now boxing and steroids sounds like a great mix but in reality it’s a very bad choice.

          If a boxer does steroids is it the perfect combo? Boxing and steroids is by far the best mix possible. A regular boxer is strong and swift. Now say that boxers starts to use steroids, Yes the boxer does get stronger and quicker but that’s just the short-term affect. Yea the boxer is untouchable but what about if he stops using it because he’s done boxing? There is a strong chance that the boxer can have liver damage. Facts state that mostly if not all steroid users suffer from liver damage. This is because the pill, which is taken orally, is passed through the liver and this pill is very strong filled with a toxin that does heavy damage to the liver. Another side affect is cholesterol problems. Steroids have a toxin in them that reduces the good cholesterol, which protects the arteries, and while this is being reduced bad one are rising causing steroid...
