Subject: How to prepare and deliver an oral presentation

It's very difficult not to say impossible to deliver a successful oral presentation if you do not know your audience and their needs. The type of speech you need to use in order to get your point across is crucial; Are you selling, informing or just developing and idea? Some of these questions must have to be responded before even considering planning for an oral presentation.

Planning Phase of the presentation

Its very helpful to have a prefect vision of the type of presentation you would like to deliver. Planning, from the very beginning, will draw the overall layout. Few actions must be considered:

* Research information and divide them into sections

* Decide what kind of support (Overhead slides or Power point) will be used

* Organize your information in coherent steps

* Develop easy transitions to help move from one idea to another

* Set up some time for practice and plan to dress accordingly

Design Phase of the Presentation

The overall presentation need to reflect an harmony from every point of view. The whole presentation, from the tools you use to the way you move must be coordinated.

* Plan the room and choose the right size

* Have readable (clear sheets or slides) with short paragraphs

* Use bullets point or number to bring up ideas and make the main idea easy to remember

* Use you Ipad or cards for your own notes and make sure they are in order and easy to access

Delivering Phase of the Presentation

Your entire audience will be looking at you and might judge you from the very first minute.

* Use sentences, joke or story that will get your audience attention

* Keep your audience attention by get him involve

* Clearly explain the reason and the purpose of the your topic

* Avoid distraction during the presentation by asking people to keep their question...
