❑ To study, how the ERP system is functioning in News paper industry.

❑ To study the various hardware, software, network ,people and database requirement for MIS at the organization

METHODOLOGY.

❑ Primary data was collected through direct personal interview with the officials.

❑ Secondary data was collected from the department manuals and company brochure and various other company documents.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY

❑ The study helps to develop a practical knowledge about the functioning of MIS in an organization.

❑ It helps to get familiarize with the various requirements of MIS in a news paper company.

❑ The study help to develop various ERP players in News paper industry.

LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

❑ The company details is influenced by subjectivity and personal bias

❑ The busy schedule of the staffs was the main inconvenience for the data collection.

CHAPTER 2- COMPANY PROFILE

ABOUT MATHRUBHUMI

Conceived as the mouthpiece of India’s freedom movement, Mathrubhumi is one of the front-runners among the Malayalam newspapers. The first copy of Mathrubhumi was published on 18th of March 1923 -- the day before the first anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s arrest for the first time by the British police. Led by K.P.Kesava Menon, the prominent freedom fighter, as Editor and K. Madhavan Nair as Managing Director, Mathrubhumi was envisaged for spreading the message of the great National Movement. In the beginning, the paper was published a week and had just one edition from Kozhikode (Calicut). A newspaper born out of relentless passion of freedom fighters, Mathrubhumi went on to become an inalienable part of Kerala's social fabric.
