Using Alerts to Spot Trends Early

Horizon Business Insight uses alerts to inform managers of performance trends that have crossed a predetermined threshold. E-mail alerts bring information to users’ attention even if they are not logged on at the time. Alerts for performance measures are defined internally, such as an alert for budget variances that exceed 10%. Horizon Business Insight will interpret the data, initiate an alert and indicate why the alert was triggered. Then managers can analyze the supporting detail to research underlying causes.
