Detecting Media Bias

Vice President Joe Biden on Sunday said that he is "absolutely comfortable" with married same-sex couples being granted the same rights as heterosexual pairs. He mentions the fact the President Obama was against it when he was running for office in 2008 however, at this time he is “evolving.” He stated he is at ease “with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties,"

Vice President Joe Biden was interviewed by NBC's David Gregory on "Meet the press.” The written story of the interview reflected as it was told By Vice President Joe Biden. The written story was By NBC's Carrie Dann. Evidence show she did not defect from the truth of the matter. It was a very positive editorial piece that shed light on a hot topic within our society.

Carrie Dann supported her story with facts: copy of video of the interview. This made her story clear and on point, with sufficient information and clarity. She shared the whole story as it was told.

It was important to make the distinctions of the truth and not half-truth when I was undertaking the critical evaluation of this story, because it is how I identified the reasonable points of the story. For instance, I would have not agreed with the outcome of false presentation. I needed to have a basis to support what I was reading.

To obtain the proper conclusion is to ask many questions. I had to look at every angle to pick up on any bias and if so why?
