I am Cathy Chen. I grew up in a middle-income family where work hard is valued. My father is a businessman and my mother is a housewife. They struggled most of their lives to raise me and my brother. They are warm and kind but strict with us. They pay attention to our education because they want us to be as successful as they are. My mother has the greatest influence on me. She taught me to be serious with work and competitive in what I do. Because of her, I have developed a hardworking attitude and outgoing personality. These positive attributes of mine have later proven helpful at school, at work, and in anything I pursue.

I am studying in Shih Chien University. My major is international business. I am interested in this major and I study hard. I join the club of international business. In this club I learn many things, like how to be a leader and how to guide our group to plan many activities. I have learn that in a group I can’t always listen to myself and ignore another partner.

Besides studying English , I also have a wide range of hobbies. I love reading, music and movies. I have my active side as well, I enjoy swimming. I believe that I must have balance in our lives.

I had some part time jobs in summer vacation or spring vacation. My first job is in Sushi Express and another job work in Bread n Butter. Those two jobs are the same property. They service to customers. In those jobs I have learned that how to treat people if they are mad at you.

In the feature I want to work in a trading company. I want to do what I am interested in, even I have to start from the basic work. Not only do my favorite job but also learn many things.
