REPORT ON BAD PECULIAR TASTE OF FROZEN LAMB

TERMS OF REFERENCE

In response to many complaints from the customers about bad peculiar taste of frozen lamb imported from New Zealand Supplier, I as a Store Manager of Best Hypermarket have conducted an investigation about the subject matter. This report was commissioned to examine why the frozen lamb imported from New Zealand Supplier has a bad peculiar taste and to recommend ways of finding the solution.

PROCEDURE

Before we taken this action, we also had conducted a discussion among our staff member from Store Management regarding this matter. As a conclusion, we have come up with four possible problems that contribute to the reason why the frozen lamb from New Zealand Supplier has a peculiar taste.

1. Expiration date

2. Supplier’s mistake

3. Bad meat

4. Freezer’s problem

In order to know whether our assumption is true, we had form four research team to investigate each possible problem. As a result, our team found that the frozen lamb still has a valid expiration date and the supplier does not sent a wrong order. Our research team also found that the freezer used to keep the frozen lamb still in best condition. One of our research team who investigate problem number three found that only frozen lamb from New Zealand Supplier has a peculiar taste but the others frozen lamb from others supplier are normal.

To identify specific sources of this bad meat problem, the investigation adopted the following procedures:

1. Interviews were held with customers about bad peculiar taste of frozen lamb.

2. A questionnaire was designed, focusing on current:

o Bad peculiar taste of frozen lamb's product imported from New Zealand.

o Customers’ opinion about the other brand of frozen lamb.

Based on the complaints made from the customers who claimed that the frozen lamb which is imported from New Zealand Supplier has a peculiar taste, we in the Store Management of Best Hypermarket have been conducted a interview and...
