7. Write a brief explanation essay on how to get a driving license in Malaysia.

Driving licence is required before a person is allowed to drive a motor vehicle of any description on a road. Driving licence holders are permitted to drive on the road after possessed all traffic rules stated in the Malaysian Road Transportation Act 1987.

In Malaysia, there are several classes of driving licence, known as A, B which divided into two; B1 and B2, C, D, E (E1 and E2), F, G and H. Valid driving licence can be accomplish after a person undergoes several procedures that generally divided into five parts. The very first part is driving code class. The applicants who wish to obtain any licence have to undergo five hours seminar which are about road safety, introduction to vehicle parts and the basic routine to maintain the vehicle condition, driving ethics and some common traffic offenses. This seminar is conducted in Malay. Visual aid and English explanation will be given if necessary to make sure the message are conveyed. Upon completion, the applicant are allowed to manage schedule for sitting the theory examination. In this examination, candidates will be asked to answer a series of 50 questions which conducted using computer in driving institutes. Questions are based on the road law and regulation driving ethics and vehicle basic knowledge. Candidates must be able to answer at least 42 questions correctly in order to proceed to the next level.

Next is part three, vehicle theory and practical class. This six hours module also known as pre-L class which is varies depending on which license applied. The first three hours is a lecture on theoretical knowledge about the specific vehicle taken. Maintainance, working machines and safety aspects about the vehicle was explained briefly.
