There are several different trends in business communication. The one that we see everywhere we look is technology. It can be as simple as watching television or listening to the radio or using the internet and even video games. There are even electronic tools to help the everyday business communication. These are things such as social networking tools, portable media players, personal digital assistant and telepresence. In my day to day work activities when I was a hair stylist we had to communicate to other businesses about getting product or to find out if our prices matched others in our area. We would use the internet to help us. We also was responsible for keeping track of are sales and our clients and there appointments. We would do this by the help of the computer and smartphones. These things helped us from having information overload and it made our jobs a lot easier. It made things easier by not having to remember every little thing we could put the information in the computer and we would have it back by just putting in there last name and it reminded us on who had what client each day. It also stored how much are sales were so that way are closing paperwork was easier for us to and we would know how much we would need to deposit each night at closing time. There are also other types of business communication trends such as the focus on quality and customer’s needs. When I worked as a hair stylist this was very important because if you messed up on some ones hair it could end your career. If you did well on the other hand it could make it so that you have more business. In the hair business you also had to have teamwork because if you didn’t know how to do something you could always ask for help. Then there is diversity, you are going to work with people with different backgrounds and you are also going to have to make sure that you know how to do things with their hair type.
