The change manager will review the business case for completeness

Accepted business cases will be brought before the change review board for review. The board recommends approval or rejection.

All changes recommended for approval are submitted to the project owner and sponsor for final approval. Approval must be given in writing.

The PM and scheduler update the project plan to reflect the changes and the impacts on the project scope, cost, and schedule.

The PM communicates the updated project plan to all stakeholders.

The change manager is responsible for ensuring that all changes are reviewed, approved or rejected, communicated, and documented. The change manager will create and chair a change review board that is responsible for reviewing all changes and recommending approval or rejection. The risk manager brings all identified risks to the change manager and together they determine the potentials changes to the project posed by the risk. The change manager analyzes each change for its impact on the cost, schedule, and scope of the project. The change manager works with the scheduler and PM to ensure that approved changes are reflected in the project plan and that the updated plan is communicated to all stakeholders.
